One-on-One Grief Support
As part of Hospice Alliance’s commitment to the community, the services of our Grief/ Bereavement Counselors are available to anyone in our community. Perhaps your loved one died in a car accident, lived out of town or chose not to accept hospice care. We are here to help you work through the grieving process, by meeting with you for up to three one-on-one grief counseling sessions at no cost to you.
Six-Week Grief Support Groups
Offered four times each year, our six-week series of one-hour discussions are facilitated by a professional Hospice Alliance Grief/Bereavement Counselor. You do not need to have had a loved one in our care to attend this support group. Groups are limited to 10 people or less and registration is required.
Community Grief Support
Hospice Alliance is available to assist with any grief-related situation in the community. Our bereavement team and social workers, if needed, is available to supplement their colleagues in the school system, the leadership of religious organizations and even the staffs of businesses in the region who have experienced tragic loss.
Hospice Alliance hosts an annual education event for healthcare professionals and community events as requested. These educational events cover a variety of grief-related topics and can be presented onsite at a Hospice Alliance location or throughout the community.
Expert speakers on topics related to family caregiving, related to for religious organizations and community groups devoted to end-of-life care, care of the elderly and support for families.
