Remembrance Service and Brick Memorial Dedication
Each summer, on the 4th Wednesday in June, Hospice Alliance hosts a gathering of staff, families, and friends to honor the loved ones who have passed in our care. All community member are welcome to attend the free event at Kemper Center in Kenosha.
Special attention is given to those who have lost a loved one during the previous year and to those who purchased a Memorial Brick that has been placed in the brick walk around the fountain near Founders Hall, also during the past year.
Featuring live music, inspirational readings and the dedication of the bricks, the program is outdoors, weather permitting, with an indoor reception following in Founders Hall.
The reception features homemade desserts provided by Hospice Alliance volunteers, a quilt display and slideshow of photos of the loved ones being honored.

Ring and Remember
Another unique event to celebrate the lives of loved ones is “Ring & Remember,” hosted by Hospice Alliance in November in concert with National Hospice and Palliative Care Awareness Month. The free event is open to the public.
The evening features music by the Carthage College Handbell Choir and inspirational readings. Refreshments are provided by St. Anne’s Hospitality Ministry.
“Ring & Remember” was inspired by a poem entitled “The Meaning of the Bell,” which suggest a gentle, comforting way to work through our grief. Personalized “Ring & Remember” bells to honor your loved ones are available and come with a copy of the inspiring poem.
